Dear Music Educators:

The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is coming to the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center in Cedar Falls for a concert on Thursday, April 11, 2019.  This 7PM concert promises to be a wonderful time to see and hear just what ukuleles can do in the hands of a group of accomplished musicians. We know that many of you teach ukulele skills to your students, but they may never have had a chance to hear them in the hands of professional musicians, playing a variety of different types of music.  Here is their chance!

One of the show sponsors is making FREE tickets available to the performance for students and teachers.  We have 6 sets of 10 student tickets and one adult ticket to the concert. You can have a chance to win a set of tickets by attending one of the ukulele sessions at the Iowa Music Educators Association Professional Development conference in Ames on November 16-17.  You can register at the sessions, and you must be in attendance in order to win the tickets. The only requirement, should your name be drawn, is that you actually show up with your students and attend the concert. Additional tickets may be purchased through GBPAC.org.

The Ukulele sessions at IMEA are listed below.  Attend, and submit your name for the drawing to receive 10 FREE student tickets, and one FREE adult ticket.
